Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Dallas Claims Life of Sharnett Sharite Thomas

A tragic accident in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, has resulted in the death of 60-year-old Sharnett Sharite Thomas. According to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office, Ms. Thomas passed away at approximately 9:05 p.m. on Monday from blunt force injuries sustained during the crash.

The Incident

Dallas police and fire-rescue teams were dispatched to the 2200 block of North Jim Miller Road shortly after 9:00 p.m. First responders arrived to find a single vehicle that had collided with a tree. The impact was severe enough to trap the occupants inside, requiring specialized extraction by fire-rescue crews.

Casualties and Injuries

While crews worked quickly to remove the occupants from the vehicle, Sharnett Sharite Thomas and 53-year-old Jermaine James Simon were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other unidentified individuals were rescued from the wreckage and transported to a nearby hospital; one remains in critical condition, while the second is reported to be in stable condition.

Investigation Status

The Dallas Police Department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances that led to the vehicle leaving the roadway. Preliminary reports confirm that only one vehicle was involved in the collision.
