Second Fatality Confirmed in Town of Brooklyn UTV Crash

The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office has reported that a second passenger has succumbed to injuries sustained in a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) accident that occurred on April 18. The crash, which took place in the Town of Brooklyn, resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left two others injured.


Incident Overview and Location

Emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 5:05 p.m. on April 18 following a 911 report of a rollover. The accident occurred near the intersection of Princeton Road and Honeysuckle Lane.

According to investigators, the UTV was traveling eastbound when the operator failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to crash.

Victim Identification

Authorities have released the names of the two individuals who lost their lives in the accident:

  • Timothy Kamphuis: A 46-year-old man who was recently identified as the second fatality following the crash.
  • Nicole Deaver: A 40-year-old woman from Fairwater, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports indicate that Nicole Deaver was ejected from the UTV during the collision. Despite lifesaving efforts attempted by officials, she did not survive.


Safety Factors and Injuries

The investigation has revealed several critical details regarding the safety of the occupants at the time of the incident:

  • Safety Restraints: Investigators determined that none of the four occupants were wearing seat belts.
  • Survivors: Two other individuals were injured in the wreck and were transported for medical care. As of April 24, the Sheriff’s Office had not released updates on their current conditions.
