The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified 25-year-old Yennifer Anguiano Romero as the victim of a fatal two-vehicle collision in Boyle Heights.
The accident occurred early Friday morning around 5:45 a.m. at the intersection of Fourth and Clarence streets. Los Angeles Fire Department officials reported that Ms. Romero was trapped inside her vehicle and was pronounced dead shortly after being extricated by emergency crews.
A second individual involved in the crash was assessed by paramedics at the scene but did not require hospitalization. While the cause of the accident remains under investigation, authorities are looking into whether a traffic signal violation contributed to the crash
